Educate
Part of being a Girl Up Club is learning about the hardships and inequities facing girls everywhere — in your own backyard and in other parts of the world. The more you learn, the more you are able to be a part of the solution. Clubs need to educate their friends, family, and community about the hardships that girls face. Building awareness is the first step in starting a ripple effect.
Advocate
To make a real change for girls everywhere, we need to address the policies and societal structures that currently limit girls' rights and abilities. As a knowledgeable Girl Up advocate, you are an influencer with the ability to speak to elected officials and other decision-makers on important issues. Use your voice to make change the way that makes sense for you.
Fundraise
Fundraising is more than giving a donation, or even asking for one — it’s about mobilizing the people around you to
care about the issues that matter to you most. Girl Up Clubs can make a direct impact in the fight for gender equality by
fundraising for programs that are changing girls’ lives.
Local & National
Level
​Through workshops and discussions, we learn about hardships women and girls are facing in our community and around the world. Becoming aware of the gender inequalities is the first step to making change and Girl Up Orlando strives to make sure our families, friends, and communities are educated about the struggles that girls face.

By contacting local officials and influential decision-makers through emails/letters about systematic changes we need to gain equality, Girl Up Orlando uses their voices to advocate for those who cannot. In order for a societal shift to occur, we must start from the bottom, locally, and work our way up making an impact each step of the way.

Gathering our resources together, through fundraisers and donation drives to help girls around the world is important to our mission. We truly believe every contribution makes a difference and we hope to bring our communities closer together by putting our efforts together to make a real change.
